The UKCTTA (United Kingdom Table Tennis Association) has decided to implement a straightforward and effective ranking system to streamline tournament organization and ensure matches are appropriately matched based on players' skill levels. This ranking system will serve as the basis for determining tournament fixtures.
Below is the breakdown of how players will earn points in this ranking system:
1. Participation
2. Group Stage
3. Knockout Stage
4. Times Played
A separate record is kept of how many tournaments each player has entered (“Times Played”). This provides context for a player’s ranking, as those who compete more frequently may accumulate higher totals.
